Meet Tyler
After graduating high school, Tyler Knight pursued and earned an Able Bodied Seaman Certification and went on to work on American Cruise Lines ships in Alaska, Washington, and the Mississippi River from New Orleans to Memphis. Tyler continued his mariner career working aboard tankers for Military Sealift Command resupplying Navy ships in and around the Persian Gulf, the South China Sea, and the waters between San Diego and Hawaii. Tyler enjoyed this fulfilling work alongside fellow civilian mariners, Navy sailors, and Navy vets who sacrificed time with family and loved ones to assist our Navy in keeping our country safe.
After returning home to Florida, Tyler went on to pursue a new career in software development and now works developing online resources to assist criminal victim advocates with efficiency and reporting. Throughout his life, Tyler has prioritized family ties and helping those in need. These values drive Tyler’s campaign for the Casselberry City Commission and his commitment to deliver a city government that works better for hard-working families.

Public Safety
Tyler looks forward to working with the Casselberry Police Department, to provide them with the necessary support they require and facilitate any improvements necessary to continue keeping the city a safe place to live.
Technology & Cybersecurity
As a current software developer, Tyler is excited to work with the city’s IT team to ensure safety and security while evolving challenges and threats are created from new technology and AI. Tyler will work diligently to fix technology issues making city operations less efficient for employees and staff.
Parks & Green Spaces
Casselberry’s rich green spaces are a key economic driver for our region. Tyler will support further high-quality events across the city that attract visitors, boost our economy, and continue to make Casselberry the place we all love.
